Fall 2011 – Conducted training on medication distribution to vulnerable populations with the Colorado Coalition for the Homeless

Fall 2011 – Developed training for delivery of medical countermeasures to partner organizations that reach specific vulnerable populations, including the homeless and home bound.

Fall 2011Denver Public Health has developed the Hand-held Automated Notification for Drugs and Immunizations (HANDI) application as a data collection tool for mass immunization and prophylaxis events. HANDI was successful tested at five flu immunization clinics at Denver Health

Fall 2011 – Presented poster on “Business Intelligence: Transforming Public Health Practice Through Information” at the annual Colorado Public Health Association conference

Fall 2011 – Completed 5-year Enteric Surveillance report for the City and County of Denver Health

Fall – Provided planning expertise and staff participation in a full scale Biological Detection System exercise with local, state and federal partners

Spring 2011 – Epidemiology and Surveillance piloted Outbreak Investigation cross-training for Public Health Preparedness staff to provide surge capacity when needed.
